SME & Business Loans

Working capital that moves at the speed of your trading cycle.

Nexus Credit finances registered Zambian businesses that need stock, inputs, equipment or bridging cash between delivery and payment. We read your bank statements and order book rather than applying a single rigid template, and we structure instalments around the way money actually comes into your business.

Stock and inventory finance for retailers, wholesalers and distributors.

Invoice and contract finance against confirmed orders or certified works.

Seasonal facilities for agribusiness, inputs and harvest cycles.

Equipment and asset acquisition with the asset held as security.

Facilities we offer

  • Working capital loan — a lump sum repaid over a fixed schedule.
  • Stock finance — funds released against supplier quotations or proforma invoices.
  • Invoice finance — advance against invoices due from creditworthy buyers.
  • Contract finance — mobilisation funding against an awarded, signed contract.
  • Asset and equipment finance — secured on the equipment purchased.
  • Bridging facility — short-term cover between certified work and payment.

Eligibility

We lend to businesses that are properly registered and trading. A short operating history is not automatically a barrier where bank statements or mobile money records show consistent turnover.

  • PACRA registration (limited company, business name or partnership).
  • Valid TPIN and, where applicable, tax clearance.
  • Six months of business bank or mobile money statements.
  • Directors' or proprietors' NRCs and proof of residence.
  • Board or partner resolution authorising the borrowing, where applicable.
  • Supporting documents: contracts, purchase orders, invoices or supplier quotes.

How we assess a business file

A loan officer reviews turnover and its consistency, the gap between money going out and coming in, existing obligations, the strength of the counterparty on any contract or invoice, and the security offered. We also check that the amount requested matches the stated purpose — over-borrowing against a thin margin is the most common cause of business default.

Where the case is strong but the amount is not affordable, we counter-offer rather than simply decline, and we explain what would need to change for a larger facility next time.

Repayment structures

Monthly instalments are standard. For seasonal or contract-driven businesses we can structure interest-only periods followed by a bullet repayment on contract settlement, or a schedule weighted to your high season. Every structure is set out in writing with each due date listed before you sign.
