From estimate to disbursement, with nothing hidden in between.
Every Nexus Credit application follows the same path. You can see exactly where your file is at any time using your reference ticket and NRC in the applicant portal, and a named loan officer is responsible for your decision.

Estimate your repayment
Choose your product, amount and tenure in the calculator. You immediately see the monthly instalment, total interest and total repayable in Kwacha — before you give us any personal details.
Apply in about three minutes
The four-step form captures your personal details, employment or business status, loan details, and your documents. You receive a reference ticket, for example NEX-84920, as soon as it is submitted.
Document and identity verification
Uploaded documents are checked automatically for legibility, missing items and inconsistencies, then verified by a person. You will be told precisely which document is outstanding, not simply that something is missing.
Affordability and credit review
A loan officer assesses your net income or turnover, existing obligations and, where applicable, the security offered. Credit reference bureau checks may be carried out with your consent.
Offer, signing and disbursement
You receive a written offer showing the principal, interest, all charges, the total repayable and every due date. Once signed, funds are released to your bank account or mobile money wallet — usually within 24 hours.
Repayment and settlement
Repay by deduction at source, standing order, bank transfer or mobile money. On final payment we confirm settlement in writing and release any security held.
What to have ready before you start
- Valid Zambian NRC, both sides, clearly photographed or scanned.
- Latest three payslips or three months of bank / mobile money statements.
- Proof of residence — utility bill or tenancy letter.
- Business applicants: PACRA certificate, TPIN and directors' NRCs.
- Secured applications: vehicle white book or certificate of title.
- Bank or mobile money account details in your own name.
How the document check helps you
When you upload a payslip, bank statement or NRC, the file is summarised and screened for problems that normally cause delays: a cut-off page, a name that does not match your application, an income figure that contradicts what you declared, or a statement period that is out of date. You see the result immediately and can correct it before an officer ever opens the file.
The check is an aid, not the decision. Every approval and decline is made by a human loan officer, and the officer's note is shown to you in the portal.
Tracking your application
Open the applicant portal and enter your reference ticket together with the NRC number recorded on the application. You will see the current stage, any outstanding requirements, the documents received, messages from your loan officer and, once a decision is made, the officer's note.
Keep your ticket confidential. Anyone holding both your ticket and your NRC number can view the status of your file.
Protecting yourself from fraud
Nexus Credit never asks for an advance or upfront processing fee before disbursement, never asks for your mobile money PIN or a one-time password, and never conducts business through a personal phone number that is not published on this website. If anyone contacts you claiming otherwise, stop and verify through the official helpline.
